Ken Lewis made the motion to accept the minutes of the 11,arch 26th meeting as read with the exception of Ken Lewis's name in the first paragraph. It should be changed to Alex Stasal. Alex Stasal seconded it. .I.11 in favor except Norm Kortus who abstained. PROCEDJRBS CO fi'ITTEE: Committee made the report that although progress was made, there was still much to be done to have the report complete enough for the commission to discuss. BU LO GROILTi R0^D: John Hooper discussed with the commission a proposal by the County Highway Department to _ ave Buffalo Grove Road four lanes from Dundee Road to County Line Road if the Village will pay for curbs, gutters and drainage. A round figure of 5 35,000 was quoted by Mir. Hooper as being the Village's cost in this project. .NCH ?:: RT -TOPPING CENT3R: Hr. Joseph Raccuglia presented the commission with a preliminary for the Ranch kart Shopping Center to be located north of Dundee and west of Buffalo Grove Roads. There will be a Jewel Food Store, drug store, variety store, a barber shop, beauty shop, cleaner, laundromat, shoe store, bakery, clothing store and offices. Five of the stores 77ill be 201 x 901 . The variety store will be 801 x 1001 . The drug store will be 80' x 1201 . The community room will be 511 x 40' . The main parking area which is to be paved is to be 300! x 1 o' . The plan as presented looked favorable to the commission members. `.J UNIT 7: J. Farman and associated and Architects Tochschmidt and Associates presented the pierrission with a revised R-9 planned development in Unit 7. There , ill be 39 units which will have from 790 to 800 apartments consisting of one, two and three bedroom units, a swimming pool, wading pool, two tennis courts and some picnic areas. The plan as -presented has a much higher concentration of population per area involved than the previous presentation on the same area. It was the commission's impres- sion that the density seemed too high. However Hr. Wilhelm appointed Norm Kortus and George Krug to the Planning Sub-Committee; Ken Lewis, Edward Fabish and Jack Zodrow to the Economic Sub-Committee and Chuck Wilhelm and Alex Stasal to the Utilities Sub-Committee, in order to ana- lyze the total scope and impact of the development on the Village.
