1967-02-02 - Plan Commission - Minutes f February 2, 1967 Buffalo Greve Village Hall MINUTES OF PLAN COMMISSION PRESENT: Norm Kortus, Ed Fabisk, Henry Ciaaglie, Ray Axon, John Hooper. VISITORS: Dick Weiss, Harrison Faith, Ernie Freberg, all representing Levitt Builders. Richard Brown. Meeting called to order 8:15 P.M. Norm Kortus made the notion to elect Ed Fabish as acting chairman. Ray Lien seconded the motion. All in favor. Henry Cimaglio made the notion to accept the minutes of November 23, 1966 as presented. Norm Kortus seconded the motion. All in favor. STRATHMORE: Mr. Weiss made a presentation of an area to be built in the Glen Grove Addition, to be called STRATHMORE IN BUFFALO GROVE. A sketch back- ground History of Levitt & Sons Building was given. The area is entirely in Cook County. The original plan called for 550 single family units. No apartments or commercial property is involved. The intended price is to be in the middle 20+s. Brochures and color slides were shown to acquaint the commission with the type of development the builder is capable of. Lot sizes have a minimum 70 foot frontage. Underground wiring is to be utilised and the Chicago Construction Company is to do all the site work of the lots. A platt of vacation was submitted for approval. The petition requested that Wiedner Ct., Bel Aire Drive, and Bernard Ct. East, all being culadeesscs be vacated so that a better street alignment could be made. The result of this would allow larger lots and cut down the number from 550 to 491 dwel- ling units, an advantagious position for the village and the school district. Henry Cimaglio made the motion to recommend to the village board ap- proval of the platt of vacation as submitted. Ray Axon seconded the motion. " .., All in favor. Mr. Weiss then presented the final revised platt of Strathmore in Buffalo Grove, unit #1 for approval. r Henry Cimaglio made the motion to accept the final revised platt of Strathmore in Buffalo Greve, Unit #1. as submitted. ARMAMENTS: The committeemen finance, platt and public improvements were asked ' to finalise their reports on the proposed apartment units around the Ranch Mart Shopping Center.
