Mr. Driscoll stated that this meeting was called for the

Mr. Genrich stated that the consultant will be meeting
with the Village early in March to report on the first
phase of the Village Center which is data gathering. The
next phase will be developing three alternative plans.
Mr. Genrich passed out a list of questions regarding the
Community and Village Center and asked the members of
the Plan Commission and others in attendance to respond
to these questions in order to obtain some citizen input
on the Village Center.
The majority of those in attendance felt the Village Center
should contain an open area without vehicular traffic where
people could congregate and that it should include a
recreation center or someplace for the young people of
the Community.
Mr. Jacobs stated that he thought a central theme should
be developed for Buffalo Grove and expanded upon. Others

It should be a combination of commercial, civic and governmental
areas and include a library, post office and theater.
Mr. Larson stated that whenever the Village Center is
developed it should have provisions made for the future.
Some area should be set aside for permanent open space
