Workshop Meeting with Members of Board of Trustees
May 7 , 1975
Chairman Carl Genrich called the meeting to order at 8 :00 p.m. ,
May 7, 1975, in the Municipal Building, 50 Raupp Blvd.

Chairman Genrich stated that the reason for this Workshop
Meeting was to establish a dialogue and communication with
the Village Board. Members of the Plan Commission were asked
to state what matters they felt should be discussed with the
Board at this meeting and the Board members were asked to
respond.
The majority of those present favored low-density housing and
thought the Village should discourage multi-family. It was
stated by several present, however, that a developer must be
allowed to present his plan before the Village Board. Commissioner
Jacobs stated that each development should rise or fall on its
own merits and should not be prejudged simply because it may
be a multi-family development.
Several Plan Commission members stated they were concerned
about instances in the past where changes were made on certain
projects by the Village Board after the Plan Commission had
recommended approval of them. They asked that in the future
if any changes are made they be reported to the Plan Commission.

President Fabish asked that in the future members of the
Plan Commission come to the Board with any complaints or
problems they may have so they can be discussed and the
Board and Plan Commission can work together to solve them.
After further discussion the meeting adjourned at 11:30 p.m.
