BUFFALO GROVE,ILLINOIS ON MONDAY.FEBRUARY 22, 1999
CALL TO ORDER
President Mathias called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Roll call indicated the following present: President Mathias;Trustees Marienthal,Reid,Rubin,Braiman,Hendricks
and Glover.
Also present were William Balling,Village Manager;William Brimm,Finance Director;Robert Pfeil,Village
Planner;Richard Kuenkler,Village Engineer;and Carmen Molinaro,Director of Golf Operations.
STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL PARKING
Mr.Balling brought the Board up to date on the parking situation at Stevenson High School.
ARBORETUM GOLF COURSE FACILITIES
The planning session for the Arboretum Golf Course Facilities-Use Analys8si and Master Planning,was revuewed
by John Green,Groundwork,Ltd.,who made a presentation to the Board,details of which are contained in Mr.
Balling's memo to the Board of February 18, 1999.
Mr. Green reviewed the sessions planned and the agenda for each of these sessions which,in addition to tonight's
meeting,are scheduled for March 22, 1999,April 26, 1999,and June 14, 1999.
The main elements of the proposed facility would be a pro shop,locker room facilities,a grill room and a year-round
banquet facility. During this brain storming session,the Board concluded that the main considerations for discussion
are: support services,public facility considerations,and site considerations. Mr.Green stated that,before the next
meeting,he will narrow the sub-headings under the above to 15-20 and bring before the Board.
EXECUTIVE MEETING
Moved by Rubin,seconded by Reid,to move to Executive Meeting to discuss Personnel. Upon roll call,Trustees
voted as follows:
AYES: 6-Marienthal,Reid,Rubin,Braiman,Hendricks,Glover
NAYS: 0-None
Motion declared carried.
The Board moved to Executive Meeting at 8:44 P.M. The Regular Meeting reconvened at 9:01 P.M.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Glover,seconded by Rubin,to adjourn the meeting. Upon voice vote,the motion was unanimously
declared carried. The meeting was adjourned at 9:01 P.M.
