1 CALL TO ORDER
President Mathias called the meeting to order at 6:59 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Roll call indicated the following present:President Mathias;Trustees Marienthal,Reid,Rubin,Braiman,Hendricks
and Glover.
Also present were William Balling,Village Manager;William Brimm,Finance Director;and Janet Sirabian,Village
Clerk.
TELEPHONE SERVICE
Mr.Balling brought the Board up to date on telephone outages in the southern portion of the Village.
EXECUTIVE MEETING
Moved by Braiman,seconded by Rubin,to move to Executive Meeting to discuss Personnel. Upon roll call,
Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 6-Marienthal,Reid,Rubin,Braiman,Hendricks,Glover
NAYS: 0-None
Motion declared carried.
The Board moved to Executive Meeting at 7:08 P.M. The Regular Meeting reconvened at 8:50 P.M..
VILLAGE/PARK DISTRICT WORKSHOP
The following members of the Park Board joint the meeting:Don Hedlund,Karen Larson,Martha Weiss,Larry
Reiner,and Rick Drazner,along with Park District Director Mike Rylko.
Phil Versten,Administrative Assistant;and Dan Schimmel,Superintendent of Recreation,also joined the meeting at
this time.
Mr.Versten introduced tonight's topic and explained the purpose of the joint meeting. The main topics of discussion
were:
• Newsletter-there was discussion as to the newsletter,with the consensus being to try the shared format and
see how it works.
• Senior Facilities-Mr.Balling presented a brief background,after which lengthy discussion on possible
options took place..
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Rubin,seconded by Glover,to adjourn the meeting. Upon voice vote,the motion was unanimously
declared carried.The meeting was adjourned at 9:57 P.M.
