MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF
BUFFALO GROVE,HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS,50 RAUPP BOULEVARD,
BUFFALO GROVE,ILLINOIS ON MONDAY AUGUST 30,1999
CALL TO ORDER
President Hartstein called the meeting to order at 8:38 P.M. Those present stood and pledged allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL
Roll call indicated the following present:President Hartstein;Trustees Marienthal,Reid,Braiman,Hendricks,Glover and
Berman.
Also present were:William Balling,Village Manager;William Raysa,Village Attorney;and Ghida Sahyouni,Assistant Village
Manager.
ROUTE 83
In answer to a question from Trustee Braiman,Mr.Balling brought the Board up to date on the status of the proposed sidewalk
on Route 83.
ROUTE 53
President Hartstein,Trustee Reid and Mr.Balling will be going to the meeting in Mundelein tomorrow. President Hartstein
stated that President Mulder of Arlington Heights informed him that Arlington Heights is 100%in favor of the Route 53
extension. Trustee Reid stated that the display boards will be available for information at Buffalo Grove Days.
QUESTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE
President Hartstein asked if there were any questions from the audience;there were none.
ORDINANCE#99-70-ANNEXATION
Mr.Balling reviewed this subject,details of which are contained in the Village Board Meeting Agenda Item from Mr.Pfeil dated
8/30/99.
Moved by Glover,seconded by Berman,to pass Ordinance#99-70,annexing certain territory to the Village of Buffalo Grove,
area on the east side of Buffalo Grove Road adjacent to Grove Memorial Chapel. Upon roll call,Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 6—Marienthal,Reid,Braiman,Hendricks,Glover,Berman
NAYS: 0—None
Motion declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Braiman,seconded by Glover,to adjourn the meeting. Upon roll call,Trustees voted as follows:
AYES: 6—Marienthal,Reid,Braiman,Hendricks,Glover,Berman
NAYS: 0—None
Motion declared carried.
