A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER AS THE AUTHORIZED AGENT TO THE
ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND (IMRF)
WHEREAS, The Village of Buffalo Grove ("the Village") adopted the By-Laws of the Illinois
Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) by Ordinance and thereby became a member of said program; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-135 of the Illinois Pension Code, 40 ILCS 5/7-135, provides that
participating units of local government shall by majority vote of its Corporate Authorities select one (1)
person to represent that body as authorized agent to act on behalf of the Village with respect to IMRF,
in accordance with the powers and duties set forth in such section to include the ability to file a petition
for nomination of an executive trustee of IMRF and to cast a ballot for election of an executive trustee
of IMRF;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that Kathryn A. Golbach, Human
Resources Manager is here by appointed Authorized Agent for the Village of Buffalo Grove effective
immediately.
Sectionl.The appointment of the Human Resources Manager, Kathryn A. Golbach, as the
Authorized Agent of the Village's IMRF plan shall be and is hereby approved.
Section 2. Upon approval,the Village Manager/Clerk shall be and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute and attest, on behalf of the Village, the necessary forms as shown in Exhibit
A required by IMRF to certify the appointment of Kathryn A. Golbach, Human Resources
Manager, as the Authorized agent.
Section 3.This Resolution shall be in full force and effective October 16, 2023.

INSTRUCTIONS
• The governing body of an IMRF employer(including townships)can appoint any qualified party as the employer's IMRF
Authorized Agent.
• The governing body makes the appointment by adopting a resolution.
• The clerk or secretary of the goveming body must certify the appointment(see Certification below).
• Mail the completed form to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
• A copy of the completed form should be retained by the employer.
• The newAuthorized Agent will need to register for a new User ID on IMRF EmpioyerAccess.
