MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ARTS COMMISSION OF THE VILLAGE OF
BUFFALO GROVE HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 50 RAUPP BOULEVARD, BUFFALO
GROVE, ILLINOIS ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2017
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Elliott Hartstein
Approval of Minutes
A. Arts Commission - Regular Meeting -Aug 9, 2017 7:00 PM
RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS]

Old Business
A. Review of Partnership of with the Farmers Market
There were six artists in October and everyone was very receptive to the Artists League's
participation in the market. The commission directed staff to reach out to the Farmers
Market Committee to discuss a further partnership during the February meeting.
B. Update on Spooky Buffalo Grove II
The Commission requested staff to put together a Surveymonkey with all the entries to
judge.
C. Update on Youth Arts Calendar Judging
Any commission members who are able to attend should arrive at American Enterprise
Bank at 9:00 am for judging.
New Business
A. Discussion of New Event
The Symphonic Band has a concert on 10129 and request that commission members be
there to help take tickets and hand out programs.
Village Report
During the Village Report staff provided an update to the commission regarding the Board of Trustee's
recent Committee of the Whole discussion regarding the possibility of partnering with the Lake County
Community Foundation to establish a Donor Advised Fund.
