MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ARTS COMMISSION OF THE VILLAGE OF

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairman Elliott Hartstein
Approval of Minutes
A. Arts Commission - Regular Meeting -Jul 12, 2017 7:00 PM
RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS]

New Business
A. Confirmation of the Halloween Lawn Decoration Contest
The commission concurred to move forward with the event. They discussed the possible
methods to promote the event. These methods included flyers in the water bills and
reaching out to the schools.
B. Update on the American Enterprise Bank Youth Art Contest
The judging will be on the 21st of October with a reception on the third Thursday of
November.
C. Discussion of Potential Arts Event
The group continued discussing the potential aspects of a Buffalo Grove's Got Talent
style event.
D. Discussion of Potential Partnership with the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market
The group agreed to reach out to the Farmers Market Committee in order to discuss a
potential partnership.
