A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT
FOR FOOD SERVICE AT THE BUFFALO GROVE COMMUTER RAIL STATION
WHEREAS,the Village of Buffalo Grove is a home rule unit pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of
1970; and
WHEREAS, it has previously been determined that it is in the best interest of the Village to license
food and beverage services at the Buffalo Grove Metra Commuter Rail Station; and
WHEREAS, Janet C. Verpaele ,the current licensee desires to sell their business, which has been
contracted to be purchased by Hamid Javed contingent upon the approval of a License Agreement which
is attached to this resolution; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Hamid Javed will continue to serve the best interests
of the Village in the provision of food and beverage services at the Buffalo Grove Metra Commuter Rail
Station.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,as follows:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby adopted and incorporated and made a part of this
Resolution as if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2.The Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached license
entitled " License Agreement for Food Service, Buffalo Grove Train Station" dated as of the 20th day of
March, 2023
SECTION 3. Village staff is hereby directed to ensure that this license is implemented beginning March
31, 2023 and that service standards are maintained as a result of the sale transaction. This resolution is
subject to the closing of the purchase contract by Hamid Javed.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
