2020-30 - COMMITTING LOCAL FUNDS FROM WATER AND SEWER FUND FOR USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH A REBUILD ILLINOIS INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT FOR WATER MAIN INFRASTRUCTURE ALONG DUNDEE AND BUFFALO ROADS - 06/22/2020 RESOLUTION NO. 2020 -30
RESOLUTION COMMITTING LOCAL FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Village Board of the Village Buffalo Grove, Illinois has taken action to submit a
Rebuild Illinois competitive public infrastructure application,
WHEREAS,receipt of Rebuild Illinois grant assistance is essential to allow the Village of Buffalo
Grove to undertake the project to replace aging water main infrastructure along Dundee Road,
Buffalo Grove Road and Old Buffalo Grove Road in the Village of Buffalo Grove.
WHEREAS, criteria are such that financial participation by the grantee is required in conjunction
with Rebuild Illinois funds, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove has certain monies allocated for the above-referenced
project with cash on hand, as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Village of Buffalo Grove does hereby
commit funds from water and sewer funds for use in conjunction with a Rebuild Illinois Public
Infrastructure Grant, such funds to equal 25% of the estimated total project cost of$4,000,000, or
$1,000,000.
PASSED and APPROVED at its rescheduled regular Village Board of Trustees Meeting, held on
the 22"d day of June, 2020.
