REGULAR MEETING
NOVEMBER 9, 2009
The regular meeting was called to order by Ronald Hackett, Ex-Officio Chairman, on Monday,
November 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m., in the lower level conference room, Village Hall, 50 Raupp
Boulevard, Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

The minutes of the August 17, 2009 meeting were read and approved.
Carol Berman presented to the Commission the proposed new fees for the annual electrical
contractor registration. She described the purpose and cost of the proposed new annual
contractor registration.
Test 1 questions were reviewed for accuracy. Changes were made to the questions to conform to
the 2008 NEC Code. The 2008 NEC has clarified the term supplemental grounding and
supplementary grounding. There is a difference between the two. The term "supplementary" has
thus been replaced with "auxiliary". This action by the NFPA reinforces that there is a distinct
difference between the two types of grounding electrodes.
