❖ Sign-Up for March 11, 2006 Blood Drive.
❖ Call List— Commissioners will be making calls. Calls to be made a week before the
drive.
❖ Postcards—Life Source should send these out,just prior to the drive.
❖ Update from Life Source—
Life Source is working on doing better on the phone calls and trying to get more
people to donate. Only 10 percent of the donations are by people that donate on a
regular basis. Therefore they will be concentrating their efforts on the other 90
percent.
Also discussed the bone marrow registry program and that at the June drive, we
will have information for people to read after they have donated to see if they
want to participate. The main problem with it is the cost to become registered, its
about $65 a person to become registered. When a person donates blood they
could just take an extra test vial of blood for the bone marrow registry, but they
would need to pay for the testing of it. St. Mary's will be doing that at their June
drive, but they are looking for donations from various businesses' etc, to help
defer the costs.
