❖ Sign-Up for December 1, 2012 Blood Drive
Early: Arla, Jinjin, Debi?
Late: Doug, Mike
Julie to follow up with Kelly and Jinjin to see if they will be attending and picking up the
bagels and cookies. Karleen will work whichever shift she is needed. Debi prefers the early
but will see what is needed.
❖ Dates for meetings and drives for the remainder of 2012 and 2013:
November 14, 2012 meeting for December 1, 2012 blood drive
February 13, 2013 meeting for March 2, 2013 blood drive
May 8, 2013 meeting for the June 1, 2013 blood drive
August 14, 2013 meeting for the August 31, 2013 blood drive
November 13, 2013 for the December 7, 2013 blood drive
❖ Review tasks for Upcoming Drive
Cookies— Doug will call and Jinjin will pick up.
Bagels—Julie will check with Kelly to see if she can call and pickup the bagels.
Green Bin —Arla will bring the bin and the Thank You cards.
Newspapers—Arla can bring the newspapers.
Mike—call Jets Pizza and secure 100 pizza box coupons. Arla will pick up the pizza boxes.
Mike will also arrange for lunch to be donated for the LifeSource staff from Jetts.
Posters— Flyers—were distributed.
Media — Debi will issue press releases in the local newspapers. Julie will add the blood drive
information to both the E-News and the Police Blotter. A slide has been created to be aired
on Channel 6. An announcement should be included in the next water bill as well.
Julie advised that with the $500.00 donation from American Enterprise Bank, she has
secured 6 adult and 1 youth replica Chicago Bear's jerseys to be raffled to participating
donors. Julie will create raffle tickets and forward to Debi for review and approval. Julie will
also create boxes to hold the raffle tickets.

Debi asked if the Commission wanted to have the Boy Scouts at the December 1 drive.
After some discussion, it was agreed that the Boy Scouts could earn their volunteer hours
by distributing the posters to the public and recruiting donors. Debi will contact Mrs. Moy
to advise.
❖ LifeSource update:
SI
The goal for the December 1 drive is 80. There were 86 units collected at the September 1,
2012 drive.
Mike advised that PNC Bank indicated that they will attend the drive. A table will be
available for them.
Julie will send an email blast on the Wednesday before the drive.
Debi will purchase sharpie's and a bagel slicer. Debi will submit the receipt for
reimbursement.

Joanne advised that the St. Mary Parish November blood drive was cancelled.
