Limelight Cafe Fred Weissman has researched portable lighting systems to be purchased by this Commission for use at Limelight. Fred made a motion to approve lights in the amount not to exceed $500 for the Arts Commission. Second by Pervos. Motion carried. Gayle summarized an e-mail that the Commission received from a resident asking for consideration to change the day of the Limelight programs from Friday to Saturday or Sunday since many Jewish people go to temple on Friday night. A great deal of discussion took place on this matter. It was indicated that in the past, the AC coordinated a non-Friday limelight at the Rotary Village Green, although it was difficult to gauge attendance due to poor weather. The attendance on Friday nights have been very good, and it is unlikely that we could secure Sturday night at eSkape, and Sunday night or afternoon was not worth coordinating. It was agreed to continue the events on Friday, and possible coordinating a summer Limelight during the week. National Anthem Project Linda indicated that a letter has been mailed to all schools and organizations in the BG area promoting the National Anthem Project.
