Special thanks to Sanders Court Pediatricians for their sponsorship of the Family Art Tent Buffalo Grove Symphonic Band Bonnie Gold thanked all those who volunteered for the concert. The concert great, was well attended, and the soloist was wonderful. Howard Green was concerned about the children who were in attendance who disrupted the concert. Most of the children in attendance were children or grandchildren of band members. It was suggested that we limit age to 8 and older or have a special section at the top of the auditorium for children. The Arts Commission felt that a solution for this problem should come from the Band Board. In addition, there was a problem with handicap parking. It was also mentioned that before the volunteers came that evening that the close parking was filled by band members. It was the committees feeling that they should park at a remote area leaving the front parking for guests. Band survey results are out and due back by May 281h Upcoming events include the June 15th performance of the Jazz Band at Willow Stream Park, July 4th at Rotary Green, Fine Art Festival and Buffalo Grove Days. The date for the fall concert is set for November 71h at Buffalo Grove High School. The theme for this concert if fantasy, myths and heroes. The spring 2011 concert will feature Wayne and Kathy Messmer. Limelight Cafe Gayle Pervos reported on a very successful Limelight Cafe. There was a full schedule and the groups were wonderful.
