Howard is the chair of this group and they are looking to: find a member of the clergy to do a benediction and invocation, obtain a sponsor for this event, seek volunteers to help with the distribution of posters and possibly do a contest for children on "What America Means to Me." Carol reported that Buffalo Grove High School has agreed to host the 9/11 concert and has waived all the fees for the program. We anticipate having lariats for the volunteers in addition to encouraging them to wear a red shirt preferably from one of the past festivals. Currently we do not have any sponsors for the festival. If any commissioners know of anyone who will be willing to be a sponsor please let Ghida or I know and we can follow-up with a letter. Lori and Laura are co-chairpersons of the Family Art Tent. The projects they plan to do this year are: plastic cups (filled with potting soil and seeds) that can be decorated with stickers, paper bag hats and paintings that the children can do with crayons and water colors.
