A public information meeting is scheduled for Monday,May 12,2003 at 7:30 pm in the Village Hall
Board Room to present an overview of the proposed improvement plan for Deerfield Parkway. The
improvement would include reconstruction of the highway from Illinois Route 83 to Weiland Road.
Improvements include adding through lanes in each direction,intersection improvements at
Buffalo Grove Road as well as at Highland Grove Drive as well as installation of new traffic signals
at Highland Grove Drive and at Fire Station #26. In addition,through lanes will be proposed in
each direction on Buffalo Grove Road as well as new right turn lanes.
Village staff as well as consulting engineers from Civiltech Engineering will be presenting further
information on purpose,need for improvement,the recommended improvement plan along with
project schedule. In addition, sufficient time will be set aside to answer questions and discuss
exhibits.
While the presentation is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, an exhibit viewing period will begin at 6:30
in the Board Room. The Village's Director of Public Works,Gregory Boysen,will be available
prior to the meeting to discuss issues. He can be contacted at 847-459-2547.
