AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE
COMMUTER STATION DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE AND METRA
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo is a Home Rule unit by virtue of the
provisions of the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Commuter Station Development Agreement between the
Village and Metra was approved by Village Resolution 95 -35, and amended by
Resolutions No. 96 -32, No. 98 -16 and No. 98 -33;
WHEREAS, the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation
Authority ( Metra) has agreed to increase the amount of funding for parking
construction at the Village's commuter rail station by $46,800.00 to a total of
$543,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois
that the Village authorizes the execution of the attached Amendment No 4 to the
Station Development Agreement.

AMENDMENT NO.4 TO THE COMMUTER STATION
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT, dated this day of 11.11 1999, shall amend and
modify the Commuter Station Development Agreement dated May 24, 1995, by and between the
Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, a division of an Illinois
municipal corporation, ( "CRD "), and the Village of Buffalo Grove, an Illinois municipal corporation,
( "Municipality "), as amended by Amendment No. 1 dated May 20, 1996, Amendment No. 2 dated
May 29, 1998, and Amendment No. 3 dated September 28, 1998 ( "Agreement "), for the construction
and expansion of the Municipality's commuter station and commuter parking lot. To the extent that
a provision or provisions of the Agreement are in conflict with a provision or provisions of this
Amendment, the provision or provisions of this Amendment shall control. CRD and Municipality
are hereinafter sometimes jointly referred to as the "Parties ".
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual agreements set forth herein and other
good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged by
the Parties, CRD and Municipality agree as follows:
1. Reference in Section 1 of Amendment No. 2 of the Agreement to the minimum
number of spaces to be constructed as 130 is hereby deleted. In exchange for
increasing the minimum number of spaces to be constructed to 206, Metra agrees to
increase the amount of funding for parking construction by $46,000 as reflected in
the revised Attachment No. 2 to Amendment No. 2.
2. Capitalized terms, not otherwise defined herein, shall have the same meanings
ascribed to them in the Agreement. The remaining terms, covenants, provisions and
conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have executed this Amendment as of the day and year first
above written.
