RESOLUTION NO. 98- 3 3
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE
COMMUTER STATION DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE AND METRA
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo is a Home Rule unit by virtue of the provisions of
the Constitution of the State of Illinois of 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Commuter Station Development Agreement between the Village and
Metra was approved by the Village by Resolution 95 -35, and amended by Resolutions No.
96 -32 and No. 98 -16;
WHEREAS, the village is receiving $497,000 from the Commuter Rail Division of the
Regional Transportation Authority ( Metra) in order to design and construct an expansion to the
Village's commuter rail station parking and depot facilities; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of streamlining the development process and construction of
these facilities, Amendment No. 3, attached hereto, will amend the "Construction Funds Pass
Through Agreement between the Village of Buffalo Grove and the Commuter Rail Division of
the Regional Transportation Authority for the Expansion and Construction of Buffalo Grove
Commuter Station Parking Lot and the Design and Expansion and Construction of the
Commuter Station/Warming Shelter" by deleting Exhibits "A" through "G ", "I" through "K"
and "N" and "Q" and replacing them with references to Exhibits "K" and "Q" only.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois that the Village authorizes the
execution of the attached Amendment No. 3 to the Station Development Agreement.

AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COMMUTER STATION
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT, dated this&day of S� 1998, shall amend
and modify the Commuter Station Development Agreeme dated May 24, 1995, by and between the
Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, a division of an Illinois municipal
corporation, ( "CRD "), and the Village of Buffalo Grove, an Illinois municipal corporation,
( "Municipality "), as amended by Amendment No. 1 dated May 20, 1996, and Amendment No. 2
dated May 29, 1998, ( "Agreement "), for the construction and expansion of the Municipality's
commuter station and commuter parking lot. To the extent that a provision or provisions of the
Agreement are in conflict with a provision or provisions of this Amendment, the provision or
provisions of this Amendment shall control. CRD and Municipality are hereinafter sometimes jointly
referred to as the "Parties"
