Commending Village Manager William R. Ballin

for bis 20 years of service to the Village of Bu&llb Grove
Whereas, William R. Balling began his tenure as Buffalo Grove's Village Manager on April
4, 1977, and
Whereas, during Bill's time with the Village, he has provided exemplary leadership and
management in the areas of human resources, financing and budgeting, capital projects development,
infrastructure maintenance and land planning and
Whereas, over the years, Bail 5as consistently `assured ,_that 4age staff attends to the health,
safety and welfare of our residextts and businesses; and
Whereas, since riitng vtla�anae�ri�appl ing�nets of professional city
management that have itributed tas�e� �3u alo as earned as a well -run
municipality, Bill has f fully and �tW 4Q— t three valla a residents and 27 village
trustees; and r

of Buffalo Groves second golf course, `the attainment o ..lake ichigan water, the creation of
municipal fire service, the securing of a U.S post office andcommuter rail service; and

Whereas, Bill sets an example of conscientiousness and professionalism, and is sought out by
his city management peers and other municipal officials to help lead such regional efforts as Northwest
Central Dispatch, the Northwest Water Commission and the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook
County;

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois, that village maunaer William R. Balling is
