FOR SERVICE TO THE VILLAGE'S
BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS

WHEREAS, Harvey Morowitz has served the Village of Buffalo Grove as a member of the Board.
of Fire and Police Commissioners since April 27, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in his fifteen years of service to that 'Board, he has participated in the appointment
of countless firefighter /paramedics, police officers, and the promotion of lieutenants and
sergeants; and
WHEREAS, he has consistently displayed good judgement in helping to assure that
appointments and promotions meet the Village of Buffalo Grove's high expectations for the
delivery of public safety services to its residents;
WHEREAS, as a member of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, he has striven to
assure that the Board's deliberations are fair, thorough and consistent; and . .
WHEREAS, his efforts have been instrumental in the development of the Buffalo Grove Police
Department and the Buffalo Grove Fire Department, and in maintaining the high standards that
each of these departments hold.; and
WHEREAS, Harvey Morowitz has recently submitted his resignation to the Village of Buffalo
Grove.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Sidney H. Mathias, Village President of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, along with the Village of Buffalo Grove Board of Trustees, do hereby
extend my sincere appreciation to Harvey Morowitz for his public service contributions to the
Village and its residents,- and wish him well in his future endeavors.
