RESOLUTION NO. 97 -31
COMMENDING ROBERT A. QUID FOR SERVICE TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
AS A MEMBER OF THE BUFFALO GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT, 1971 - 1997
WHEREAS, Robert A. Quid joined the Police Department on September 27, 1971 as a Police Officer, and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid -was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on May 1 1986 and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid was promoted to the rank of Commander on March 29, 1994, and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid served in the Police Department's Patrol and Criminal Investigation Units
during his career, and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid's trammg and knowledge of local, state and federal laws enabled him to
make just and impartial decisions;'and; "_
WHEREAS, Commander Quid has received numerous awards including 11 Department Commendations
and 2 Honorable Mentions, and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid's performance of his duties was tempered with 'empathy for each individual
situation, and,
WHEREAS, Commander Quid's character qualified him to represent the Village of Buffalo Grove with
integrity, and
WHEREAS, Commander Quid's faithful service to the Village of Buffalo Grove will always be remember
by the Village Board and the Police Department
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS as follows:
1. That Commander Robert A. Quid commended for his honorable record as a dedicated officer of
the Police Department on behalf of the Village of Buffalo Grove.
That this Resolution be presented to Commander Robert A. Quid with our genuine appreciation for
extraordinary service and with our best wishes in his retirement effective October 2, 1997.
