WHEREAS, Deputy Chief James A. Hansen has served the citizens of Buffalo Grove since April
of 1967 as a Paid -On -Call member of the Buffalo Grove Fire Department, Inc., and later for the Village
of Buffalo Grove Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, James A. Hansen joined the Buffalo. Grove Fire Department, Inc. in April, 1967 as
a Paid -On -Call Firefighter and later as a Paid-On-Call Lieutenant; and,

WHEREAS, James A Hansen enrolled and graduated from the state's first paramedic class in
-1971;

HEREAS, James"' Hansen became a ' time member of the Buffalo Grove Fire
Department, Inc. on September 2, 1972, andsubsequent�y`washired as a charter member of the new
municipal fire department i X1981 as a Captain, anc was promoted to Deputy Chief in 1992; and,
WHEREAS, James A. Hansen has served of Buffalo Grove faithfully for 30 years
as a member of the Fire Department.
of Buffalo THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
\ falo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois as follows �
1. That Deputy Chief James A. Hansen be commended on behalf of the citizens of
Buffalo Grove for his exemplary and distinguished service to the Village.
2. That this resolution be presented to Deputy Chief James A. Hansen with gratitude for
his 30 years of service to the Buffalo Grove Fire Department and the Village of Buffalo
Grove.
