RESOLUTION No. 96-7
RECOGNIZING THE EFFORTS OF THE
OFFICE OF LAKE COUNTY STATE'S ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove and Lake County State's Attorney Michael Waller
were involved in establishing the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force four years ago, and
WHEREAS, the Task Force is an intergovernmental organization of police agencies which
pools resources and specialists in the region for the investigation of major crimes, and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and the Office of Lake County State's
Attorney were recently called upon to assist the Buffalo Grove Police.Department in
investigating a rare crime ofhomicide in Buffalo Grove and ' #►,,`
WHEREAS, the able resources of the Office of Lake County State's Attorney Michael Waller
along with the skill and proficiency of the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force, greatly
assisted the Buffalo Grove Police Department, in conducting a successful and efficient
investigation of this crime.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, IL, that the Village of Buffalo Grove
recognizes the professionalism and expertise of the Office of Lake County State's Attorney and
the role it played in our ability to solve the tragic crime which befell our community on the
morning of January 29, 1996.
