RECOGNIZING THE EFFORTS OF THE
LAKE COUNTY MAJOR CRIMES TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove was involved in establishing the Lake County Major
Crimes Task Force four years ago, and
WHEREAS, the Task Force is an intergovernmental organization of police agencies which
pools resources and specialists in the region for the investigation of major crimes, and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was 'recently called upon to assist the Buffalo Grove Police
Department in investigating a rare crime of homicide in Buffalo Grove, and
WHEREAS, the able resources of the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force, along with the
support of the Office of Lake County State's Attorney Michael Waller, greatly assisted the
Buffalo Grove Police Department in conducting a successful and efficient investigation of this
crime F u a
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, IL, that the Village of Buffalo Grove
recognizes the professionalism and expertise of the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force and
the role it played in our ability to solve the tragic crime which befell our community on the
morning of January 29, 1996.
