RESOLUTION 96- 39
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT ON EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION
BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE AND THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE
.WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule unit pursuant to the
Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove requires detailed information from
the Illinois Department of Revenue pertaining to sales generated by retail stores
within the Village in order to monitor compliance with the both the Home Rule
sales taxes authorized by statute along with certain sales tax sharing agreements
in place with local.retailers; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Revenue will provide this information
upon execution of the Reciprocal Agreement on Exchange of Information, attached
hereto as Exhibit "1" to this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
Bection 1. It is hereby resolved that the Village President and Village
Clerk are authorized to execute the Reciprocal Agreement on Exchange of
Information Between the Village of Buffalo Grove and Illinois Department
of Revenue with the Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue, a copy
of which is noted as Exhibit "1" to this Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
