RESOLUTION 96- 36
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT RELATED TO THE BUSCH ROAD/BUSCH PARKWAY /WEILAND ROAD
IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois
Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees approved an Intergovernmental
Agreement related to the Busch Road/Busch Parkway /Weiland Road Improvement through
Buffalo Grove Resolution No. 95 -45 on June 5, 1995, which provided for project funding from
various Federal, State and County sources; and, ,
WHEREAS, the Northwest CATS Council of Mayors has authorized additional Federal
funding for the addition of work which will improve the traffic signal system and provide for an
eastbound to southbound right turn lane related to the intersection of Busch Parkway and
Deerfield Parkway; and,
WHEREAS, the State's policies and procedures require an amendment to the agreement
which had previously been approved by Resolution No. 95 -45, in order to utilize the additional
funding which had been authorized by the Northwest CATS Council of Mayors;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1: The agreement amendment entitled, " An Amendment To A Joint
Buffalo Grove - State Agreement For A Roadway Widening And Construction In
The Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook County, Illinois" related to the Busch Road/
Busch Parkway /Weiland Road Improvement is hereby approved.
Section 2: The Village President and Village Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute the agreement. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
Section 3: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.

WHEREAS, the VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE hereinafter referred to as the
"LA" and the STATE OF ILLINOIS, acting by and through its Department of
Transportation and hereinafter referred to as the "STATE ", entered into an agreement on
September 27, 1995 for roadway widening and reconstruction of Busch Road from West
of Weiland Road to Wisconsin Central Railroad, said improvement designated as LA
Section 94- 00049- 01 -PV, STATE Job No. C -91- 066 -95; and
WHEREAS, the LA and the STATE are desirous of updating the Division of Cost
portion of the Joint Agreement in accordance with the State's policies and procedures to
reflect the added work for right turn lane and miscellaneous drainage and traffic signal
improvements as per Authorization No. 10 and 11:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AGREED that the "DIVISION OF COST" portion
of the aforementioned Addendum to the agreement is revised to read as follows on Page
2:

BE IT FURTHER AGREED that this AMENDMENT shall inure to the benefit of
the parties hereto, their successors and assigns.
