RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 2
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY
TO THE TOWN OF VERNON
(Outlot B in Canterbury Fields - PIN: 15- 17-414 -006)
(Outlot C in Canterbury Fields - PIN: 15 -17- 406 -026)
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is the owner of certain parcels of real
property known as Outlots B and C in Canterbury Fields;
WHEREAS, the Village has no immediate use for said real property; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities deem it to be in the public interest to have said
property put to public use by deeding same to the Town of Vernon and their successors in
office for the use and benefit of the public; and
WHEREAS, . the transferee, Town of Vernon, has by ordinance declared that it is
necessary or convenient for it to use, occupy or improve said real estate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS, as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to the authority granted to municipalities in Chapter 30, Sections
156 to 158(a) of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the President and Clerk of the Village of Buffalo
Grove are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed conveying said Outlots B and C to
the Town of Vernon and their successors in office for the use and benefit of the public, a copy
of which deed is attached as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by two - thirds of the trustees then holding office.
