A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN APPLICATION FEE OF
$20,000.00 FOR NEW CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISES
WHEREAS, the Village previously adopted Ordinance No. 81 -18, An Enabling
Ordinance Providing Specifications for Cable Television; and,
WHEREAS, Article III, Section 2, Paragraph B of that ordinance specifies that
applications for a cable television franchise shall be accompanied by a non - refundable
application fee in an amount determined by the Village; and,
WHEREAS, the Regional Cable Group has established a non - refundable application
fee in the amount of $20,000.00 to offset direct expenses included in the franchising and
evaluation procedures; and,
WHEREAS, the Village previously passed Resolution 96 -4 establishing an
application fee for new cable television franchises.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois:
Section 1. That a non - refundable application fee of $20,000.00 is hereby
established for new cable television franchises; and,
Section 2. That the non - refundable franchise application fee of $20,000.00 is in
addition to any other charges made by the Village pursuant to its codes and ordinances,
such as permit fees, engineering fees, inspection fees or other charges or fees due to the
Village by the franchisee for the installation and inspection of facilities; and,
Section 3. That this resolution will be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval according to law.
