RESOLUTION NO. 95 -51
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RETIRING �l
DEPUTY FIRE MARSHAL
DOMINIC J. SAVIANO, JR
WHEREAS, Deputy Fire Marshal Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. has served the citizens of Buffalo Grove since
October of 1964 as a paid -on -call member of the Buffalo Grove Fire Department, Inc., and later for the Village of
Buffalo Grove Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. served as a Building Inspector for the Village of Buffalo Grove as of
July, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, Dominic J. Saviano, Jr served as Chief Fire Inspector for the Village of Buffalo Grove as of
JMay, 1977; and,

WHEREAS, Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. served as Actin Head of the Department of Building 9 p g Zoning as
of May, 1979; and,
WHEREAS, Dominic J Saviano, Jr served 'as Deputy Building Commissioner as of 1982; and
WHEREAS, Dominic J. Saviano, 'Jr was transferred to the Buffalo Grove Fire Department as of May,
1988, to serve as the Head of the Fire Prevention Bureau; and,
WHEREAS, Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. was promoted to Deputy Fire Marshal in the Fall of 1988; and,
WHEREAS, Deputy Fire Marshal Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. has served the residents of Buffalo Grove
faithfully until the present date; and,
WHEREAS,
S D eputy Fire Marshal Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. will now retire from active service to the Village J
of Buffalo Grove Fire Department and to the residents of the Village of Buffalo Grove.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the village of Buffalo
Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois as follows:
1. That Deputy Fire Marshal Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. be commended on behalf of the citizens of
Buffalo Grove for his exemplary and distinguished service to the Village.
2. That this resolution be presented to Deputy Fire Marshal Dominic J. Saviano, Jr. with gratitude
and best wishes for his retirement.
