A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE REVISED
SERVICE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
AND THE WHEELING RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Village Resolution No. 80 -26, the Village entered into
an agreement with the Wheeling Rural Fire Protection District and the then
existing Buffalo Grove Fire Department, Inc. which agreement provided among other
things, for fire protection and ambulance service by the Village within certain
lands in the District; and,
WHEREAS, the Village, pursuant to its Home Rule Powers, the Illinois
Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, and Illinois Compiled Statutes, desires to
provide fire and ambulance protection service to certain areas of the District
by contract; and,
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1994, the Village President and Board of Trustees
adopted Resolution No. 94 -22 which authorized and directed the President and
Village Clerk to execute a contract between the Village and District to provide
fire and ambulance protection to areas of the District for the period May 1, 1994
through April 30, 1995; and,
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to adopt a service agreement between the
Village and District for the period from May 1, 1995 through April 30, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the contract attached hereto as Exhibit "1" with the
Wheeling Township Rural Fire Protection District to provide fire and ambulance
protection for the period from May 1, 1995 through April 30, 1996.
