RESOLUTION NO. 94- 1
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RETIRING .HIGH SCHOOL
DISTRICT 214 SUPERINTENDENT DR. STEPHEN BERRY
WHEREAS, Dr. Stephen Berry has served as Superintendent of High
School District 214 since 1986; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Berry's tenure as Superintendent of the District caps a
38 -year career in education; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Berry has served District 214 in various capacities for
those 38 years; and,
WHEREAS, Buffalo Grove High School has, since 1973, played a vital
role in educating our students as one of the six high schools comprising
District 214; and,
WHEREAS, his achievements in developing the talents, skills and
maturity of our high school students and his desire to meet the needs of his
students beyond all else have elevated the quality of life for thousands of
residents of our community for nearly a decade; and,
WHEREAS, Dr. Stephen Berry will now retire from active service to
District 214.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
1. That Dr. Stephen Berry be commended on behalf of the citizens of
Buffalo Grove for his exemplary and distinguished service to the
Village.
2. That this resolution be presented to Dr. Berry with gratitude and
best wishes for his retirement.
