RESOLUTION NO. 93 - 28
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING OUTGOING BUFFALO GROVE HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
DR. MtAVIN CHRISTENSEN FOR SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY, 1984 - 93
WHEREAS, Dr. Marvin Christensen has served as Principal of the Buffalo Grove High School since
1984, and
WHEREAS, Buffalo Grove High School has, during those nine years, kept pace with advanced teaching
technologies through the extensive implementation of computers for students and staff, and
WHEREAS, the development of the Advanced Placement program at Buffalo Grove High School during
his tenure exemplifies the spirit of District 214's ongoing concern for providing opportunities for each
individual student to learn to his or her fullest potential, and
WHEREAS, these achievements are indicative of the exemplary educational leadership he provided the
community throughout the entire course of his tenure, and
WHEREAS, his achievements in developing the talent, skills, and maturity of our high school students
and his characteristic insistence on meeting the needs of his students beyond all else have impacted the
quality of life for thousands of residents of our community for nearly a decade, and
ti'HERE9S, Dr. Christensen will soon step down from his post as Principal of the Buffalo Grove High
School.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS as follows:
1. That Dr. Marvin Christensen be commended on behalf of the citizens of Buffalo Grove for
his exemplary and distinguished service to the Village.
2. That this resolution be presented to Dr. Christensen with gratitude and best wishes for his future
endeavors.
