A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT
FOR A DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT AT THE INTERSECTION OF
BUFFALO GROVE ROAD AND APTAKISIC ROAD
WHEREAS, an Agreement with the County of Lake is required to
implement the construction and maintenance of a drainage facility at
Aptakisic Road and Buffalo Road; and,
Agreement,
WHEREAS, the Village is required to approve the Interagency
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois,
that the Agreement for a drainage improvement at the intersection of Buffalo
Grove Road and Aptakisic Road be approved, and the Village President and
Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Legal Description
That part of the East 589.29 feet of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter
of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
in Lake County, Illinois (except that part of the East 589.29 feet of the North
Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 43 North, Range 11 East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in Lake County, Illinois, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said East 589.29 feet of the North Half of
the Northeast Quarter of Section 29; thence North 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds
West along the South line of said North Half of the Northeast Quarter, a distance
of 589.30 feet to the intersection of said South line with the West line of the
East 589.29 feet of the North Half of said Northeast Quarter; thence North 00
degrees 20 minutes 49 seconds East along said West line of the East 589.29 feet
of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter, a distance of 709.63 feet; thence South

Said parcel contains 0.656 acre.
INTERAGENCY AGRETIVIENT .
This INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT, made and entered into as of this 16th day of
November , 19 92, by and among the County of Lake (the COUNTY) and the
Village of Buffalo Grove (the VILLAGE).

WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE owns property described in the attached legal description made a part
hereof.
WHEREAS, the COUNTY is required to provide a stormwater detention basin in conjunction with
the widening of Aptakisic Road which will require full use of the above described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree to as follows:
1. The VILLAGE agrees that the COUNTY shall have the full, perpetual and exclusive rights
to use said property to construct, excavate, operate or modify as necessary a
stormwater detention basin complete with equipment and appurtenances as well as
discharge rights to Aptakisic Creek. All work shall be subject to the written approval
of the Buffalo Grove Village Engineer.
2. The VILLAGE shall not convey any interest in the property or issue construction permits
without the approval of the COUNTY.
3. The COUNTY will construct and finish said detention basin to full working order at
COUNTY expense. Upon completion of the improvement the VILLAGE shall assume
maintenance of the facility.
4. The COUNTY will seed the completed site in accordance with plans approved by the
Buffalo Grove Village Engineer.
5. There is no monetary consideration associated with this agreement.
