RESOLUTION NO. 91- 9
"A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AMERICA'S ARMED FORCES IN THE MIDDLE EAST"
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Municipality located in Cook
and Lake County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove recognizes that it is one of
several Municipalities that make up the State of Illinois, and that the State
of Illinois is one of fifty states that make up the United States of America;
and
WHEREAS, the United States of America has sent members of the Armed
Forces from various States in America to take part in "Operation Desert
Storm "; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove recognizes that the Community it
governs is made up of hundreds of families. Each family is a vital part in
the motivation, strength, and direction of which; our Community travels; and
WHEREAS, certain families within our Community have loved ones that are
representing the United States of America in "Operation Desert Storm ".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of 'Buffalo Grove
designates the month of February as "Hometown Support for our Troops" month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village of Buffalo Grove encourages it's
residents and businesses to fly the American Flag every day until "Operation
Desert Storm" has been competed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, during the "Hometown Support for our
Troops" month of February,'the residents, businesses, religious 'groups,
schools and community organizations are encouraged to decorate their homes,
yards and businesses with yellow ribbon to show our support of the troops.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village of Buffalo Grove will work
together to show support for our troops that are representing the United
States of America.
