RESOLUTION NO 91- 50
WHEREAS, Lance Corporal, David Bendix, served with distinction in the
Marines 3 -9 L Company, fighting in the battle to liberate Kuwait Airport; and
WHEREAS, Private First Class, Brad Orenstein, served with distinction
in the Army's 54th Engineer's Battalion, confronting the elite Republican
Guard in Iraq; and
WHEREAS, Private First Class, Gerry Sharp, served with distinction in
the Army's 18th Battalion, providing radio communications support for the air
defenses in Saudi Arabia; and
WHEREAS, Those men did take part in the Persian Gulf War against Iraq
under the auspices of the United Nations Allied Force mobilized by the United.
Nations Resolution #678 to liberate Kuwait; and
WHEREAS, They bravely served. their country with honor and valor,
answering their nation's call to duty, fighting for freedom which we
American's hold so precious.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK & LAKE
COUNTIES, ILL., that the community of Buffalo Grove and the Buffalo Grove
Village President and Board of Trustees express their profound appreciation
and gratitude to Buffalo Grove area residents, Dave Bendix, Brad Orenstein
and Gerry Sharp, along with their families, for their distinguished service for
our nation.
