A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LETTER AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE 1990 TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE
WHEREAS, the Village President and Board of Trustees desire to
cause a 1990 Transportation Plan Update analysis and report to be prepared:
and,
WHEREAS, consulting engineering services are needed in order to
complete the desired evaluation and report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois
as follows:
1. The Letter Agreement dated June 11, 1990 from James J. Benes and
Associates, Inc. is hereby approved subject to the deletion of
Items IIB Traffic Counts and Summary and VII T Model 2 Program Services.
2. The Village President is hereby authorized and directed to execute the
Letter Agreement, a copy of said Letter Agreement as adopted is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.

Scope of Work & Estimated Cost
Dear Greg,
Attached please find a revised Scope of Work and a revised
Estimated of the Hours and cost to complete all the tasks
listed in the Scope of Work. Both documents have been revised
per your direction of Friday June 8, 1990.
As I stated in my May 30, 1990 letter, the Village of.Buffalo
Grove could significantly reduce the cost of the Study by
performing the traffic counting task with Village personnel
hired for that task. This reduction would reduce our contract
amount by $16,957.
The estimate of cost is based on currenthourly rates applied
to the hours plus an Expansion for Overhead and Payroll
Burden and an Expansion for Professional Fee. Direct costs
for services by others are listed at cost to the Village.
Invoices will be prepared monthly and will document the
direct payroll expended and direct costs. The invoices will
show:

Burden: (A) X IDOT Rate
(A + B) X 15%
Our Cost
* The current IDOT rate is 111.83%
Payments should be made within 30 days of the receipt of the
monthly invoices.
If the traffic counting tasks are to be reduced please
indicate so on the attached Scope of Work and Cost Estimate.
If these tasks are to be performed by us leave the Scope of
Work and Estimate of Cost unmarked.
