1990-23RESOLUTION NO. 90- 23 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SERVICE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE AND THE WHEELING TOWNSHIP RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove approved Resolution No. 90 -9 on April 2, 1990 which authorized the Village President and Village Clerk to execute a revised fire protection and ambulance service contract between the Village of Buffalo Grove and the Wheeling Township Rural. Fire Protection District for the year beginning May 1, 1990; and WHEREAS, certain parcels of real property have now been determined to have not been included in the revised contract which necessitates a revision to the agreement executed as of April 2, 1990 for the year beginning May 1, 1990. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Village President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the attached service contract amendment, attached here to as Exhibit "1" with the Wheeling Township Rural Fire Protection District for the period from May 1, 1990 through April 30, 1991. Said contract amendment shall be forwarded by the Village Clerk to the District for their execution and acceptance. ATTEST: Vill e Clerk Village President 0 EXHIBIT "1" FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE CONTRACT AMENDMENT This amendment is made and entered into as of the 1st day of May A.D. 1990, by and between the Wheeling Township Rural Fire Protection District and the Village of Buffalo Grove. ARTICLE VII of the original contract is amended to read as follows: ARTICLE VIII That for the period of time covered by this Agreement, the District agrees to pay and the Village agrees to accept in full and complete payment for its fire fighting and emergency ambulance services provided hereunder the sums of $3,630.00 and $4,537.00 respectively. The Village shall have no liability for any expenses of the District. FIREFIGHTING AND PROTECTION SERVICES June, 1990 payment $3,360.00 EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES December, 1990 payment $4,537.00 In the event that the tax revenues are not received as anticipated by the District, the payments hereinabove referred to shall be made as soon after the installment or due date as the finances of the District allow, but in no event later than January 1, 1991. It is to be understood that the total of $7,897.00 of payments referred to above as based upon the final 1988 assessed and equalized valuation within the area designated in red on Exhibit "A" and defined on Exhibit "B" attached hereto multiplied by the Village fire tax levy rate for the 1989 tax levy of $.3068 per $100 assessed and equalized value, plus a charge of $594.32 applied to prior contractual fee. It is further understood that upon year end verification of the estimations, next year's contract will be modified upwards or downwards to reflect the actual assessed and equalized valuation and actual tax rate for concluding contract period. In Witness Whereof, the parties have caused this Contract amendment to be executed by their respective officers pursuant to proper authorization and having caused their corporate seals to be affixed hereunto as of the 1st day of May, 1990.
