A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RENEGOTIATIONS WITH
WASTE MANAGEMENT OF ILLINOIS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit pursuant to the Illinois
Constitution of 1970; and,
WHEREAS, on April 16, 2012, the Village of Buffalo Grove entered into an
agreement ( "Agreement') for refuse and recycling collection and disposal services with
Waste Management of Illinois, Inc. ( "Waste Management'); and,
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it is in the best interests of the
residents of the Village to authorize the Village Manager to renegotiate certain terms of the
Agreement with Waste Management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COUNTIES OF COOK AND LAKE,
STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated and made a part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2. The Village Manager, or his designee, is authorized and directed to
renegotiate certain terms of the Agreement.
SECTION 3. The Village President is hereby authorized to execute said new
Agreement, subject to the review and approval of the Village Attorney.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval as provided by law.
