WHEREAS, if the Proposed Law is approved, the Village will not be fully prepared to
review and process requests pertaining to the establishment and operation of Distribution
Facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that it is in the best interests of the health,
safety and welfare of the residents of the Village to direct the Plan Commission of the Village to
evaluate zoning regulations pertaining to Distribution Facilities and make a recommendation to
the Village Board concerning the appropriate zoning classification and related standards and
requirements to regulate said use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COUNTY OF LAKE, STATE OF ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. The foregoing Whereas clauses are hereby incorporated and made a part of
this Resolution.
SECTION 2. In the event that the Proposed Law, or any similar law, is approved by the
Illinois General Assembly and signed into law by the Governor, the Village Board hereby directs
the Village Plan Commission to evaluate zoning regulations pertaining to Distribution Facilities,
including a public hearing to consider amendments to the Village Zoning Ordinance, and make a
recommendation to the Village Board concerning the zoning classification and related
standards and requirements regarding Distribution Facilities.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval as provided by law.
