2007-37l RESOLUTION NO. 2007 37 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF COOK NOT TO COLLECT THE LOSS IN COLLECTION ON TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove has experienced a high level of property tax collections from its residential and commercial property in Cook County as verified by audit and collection procedures; and WHEREAS, the County of Cook has made it a policy to extend additional amounts over and above the annual tax levy requests of the Village of Buffalo Grove in order to offset any loss in collection of the tax levy; and WHEREAS, those additional taxes will not be needed by the Village of Buffalo Grove to perform its operational, pension and debt service responsibilities to its citizens. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, that: SECTION 1. The County Clerk of Cook County is hereby directed not to levy the customary percentage amounts for loss and collection as part of the extension of those levies requested by the Village of Buffalo Grove in its 2007 Tax Levy Ordinance upon all taxable property within the Cook County boundaries of the Village. SECTION 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the County Clerk of Cook County.
