RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 22
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
ESDA COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Village's Emergency Services Disaster Agency (ESDA) is to plan and
mitigate on the response functions of the Village emergency management operations prior to, during and in a
recovery phase of a disaster situation through an integrated emergency management system, and
WHEREAS, the Village's ESDA Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a Village disaster plan which
has evolved through practice and amendment into the Village's Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan (Plan),
and
WHEREAS, this Plan is required to receive, at least annually, a review by the Village's Corporate
Authorities as to intent and amendment of content from a past review; and
WHEREAS, based on changing conditions, the Plan now requires amendment to various sections and
annexes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS that:
Section 1. The Village's ESDA Comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan is hereby amended with all
changes suggested and recommended (from January 1, 2002 through March 31, 2002) by the Emergency
Services and Disaster Commission (ESDC).
Section 2. Changes to the Plan include amendments to the following:
Basic Plan Community Warning
Continuance of Government Damage Assessment Team
Emergency Call Out List
Emergency Operations Center - Crisis Management Team
Earthquakes Fire & Rescue
Hazmat Public Information
Section 3. Upon approval of this Resolution, ESDA staff is hereby directed to provide for the proper
distribution of all amended and added materials to those responsible for the administration and execution of
the Plan.
