COMMENDING RICHARD HEINRICH
FOR SERVICE TO THE VILLAGE AS A ZONING
BOARD OF APPEALS MEMBER AND CHAIRMAN, 1971 -2000
WHEREAS, Richard Heinrich began his service to the Village as a Zoning Board of Appeals
member on July 6, 1971 and was appointed as Chairman on October 18, 1976; and
WHEREAS, Richard performed with excellence throughout his tenure on the Zoning Board of
Appeals, providing excellent direction to the Zoning Board of Appeals, making decisions which resulted in
\ fair and equitable solutions to complex issues; and
WHEREAS, Richard has made important contributions to the drafting and up- dating of the
Village's Zoning Ordinance, Sign Code and Fence Code; and
WHEREAS, Richard responsibly reviewed innumerable applications for variance to these
ordinances, without compromising the character of the neighborhood or the Village of Buffalo Grove.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS THAT:
1. Richard Heinrich is commended and honored on behalf of the citizens of Buffalo Grove for
his excellent service to the Village as a Zoning Board of Appeals member and chairman.
2. Richard Heinrich is hereby appointed as "Commissioner Emeritus" in recognition of his
extraordinary commitment to the Village and his willingness to share his time and expertise
in the future on special projects.
