RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE JOINT VILLAGE -STATE AGREEMENT
FOR THE DEERFIELD PARKWAY AND COMMERCE COURT
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, on November 2. 1995, the Buffalo Grove Village President
and Board of Trustees previously approved Resolution No. 98 -38 entitled "A Resolution
Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement Providing for Funding Assistance from the
State of Illinois for the Deerfield Parkway and Commerce Court Intersection
Improvement" which approved an agreement for an Operation Green Light Access to
Transit Grant, which was intended to provide for 100% of the project cost to be provided
through Grant funds; and,
WHEREAS, the attached amendment to the Grant Agreement is required
in order to complete the work with full funding being provided through the Grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE VILLAGE
PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO
GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, as follows:
1. The attached agreement entitled "An Amendment to a Joint Village -State
Agreement for Intersection Improvements in the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook
County, Illinois" is hereby approved.
2. The Village President is authorized and directed to execute the agreement. A
copy of said agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

AN AMENDMENT TO A JOINT VILLAGE -STATE AGREEMENT
FOR INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
IN THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove and the STATE OF ILLINOIS, acting by and through
its Department of Transportation and hereinafter referred to as the "STATE ", entered into an
agreement on November 23, 1998, for the engineering and construction of an intersection
improvement project at Busch Parkway and Commerce Court, said improvement designated as
Section 98- 00076- 00 -GL, State Job No. C- 91- 217 -98, and hereinafter referred to as the
PROJECT; and
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE and the STATE are desirous of modifying the estimated division of
costs to address revised engineering and construction cost estimates, in accordance with the
State's policies and procedures approved and/or required by the United States Federal Highway
Administration, herein referred to as "FHWA ":
BE IT FURTHER AGREED that all elements of the aforementioned agreement not in conflict
with this ADDENDUM shall remain in full force and effect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AGREED that Section III, Paragraph 2 of the original agreement is
revised to read as follows:
