WHEREAS the City of Des Plaines has requested that the Northwest Water Commission
approve it as a customer of the Northwest Water Commission, provide it with

• supplemental source
of water and approve a contract in furtherance of that request; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the First Amended Water Supplement Contract between the
Northwest Water Commission and the Village of Buffalo Grove any such contract must be ratified by
a certain number of the members of the Northwest Water Commission; and
WHEREAS on September 3, 2014 the Northwest Water Commission approved -a
Supplemental Water Purchase and Sale Contract with the City of Des Plaines; and
WHEREAS on September 15, 2014, the City of Des Plaines approved a Supplemental Water
Purchase and Sale Contract with the Northwest Water Commission;
