AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, certain property described below is
unoccupied territory lying along the boundary line
between the adjoining municipalities of the Village
of Wheeling and the Village of Buffalo Grove; and
WHEREAS, such territory was annexed to the
Village of Wheeling in 1959, subsequently annexed to
the Village of Buffalo Grove, and is now the subject
of a pending action in Quo Warranto to determine the
validity of the 1959 annexation; and
WHEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation
by the Village of Buffalo Grove of such territory has
been given to the Wheeling Township Fire Protection
District, as provided by law, a copy of which Notice
was recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds
of Cook County, Illinois, on June 21, 1966, as
Document No. 19863515; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the
Village of Wheeling have adopted an ordinance
providing for the exclusion of such territory,
subject to the adoption of an ordinance providing
for the annexation of such territory to the Village
of Buffalo Grove by the corporate authorities thereof;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of
both Villages involved that this territory be excluded
from the Village of Wheeling and annexed to the Village
of Buffalo Grove;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE,
COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That the following described
territory:
Commencing at the center of Section 9, T 42
N, R 11 E of the 3rd Principal Meridian, said
point being the point of beginning (P.O.B.);
thence Westerly along the South line of the
N2 of said Sec. 9 a distance of 797.26 feet to
a point; thence Northerly a. distance of 258.0
feet to a point; thence Westerly a, distance of
514.80 feet to a point in the centerline of
Buffalo Grove Road; thence, Northerly along
said centerline a distance of 226.18 feet to a
point; thence Easterly a distance of 1799.44
feet to a point attested by an iron pipe; thence
Southerly a distance of 484.14 feet to a point
in the South line of the N2 of Sec. 9; thence
Westerly along said South line of the NZ of Sec.
9 a distance of 487.08 feet to the Point of
Beginning; and
The Southerly 33 feet of the East 825 feet
of the West 1/2 of the N.E. 1/4 of Section 9,
T 42 N, R 11 E of the 3rd P.M. in Cook County,
Illinois;
be annexed to the Village of Buffalo Grove.
SECTION TWO: That the President of the Village
of Buffalo Grove shall, and he is hereby directed to,
cause the filing for recordation of an accurate map
of the added territory, together with a certified copy
of this ordinance, with the Recorder of Deed of
Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.

legislative records of the Village Board of said Village of Buffalo
Grove, and that said Ordinance received the necessary majority of
the corporate authorities' vote for its adoption.
