sEcTloN 1.Section 2OO-H-2 of the Building Code of the
ViLlage of Buffalo Grove as aoended is hereby aoended to read
as follolts:
In crawl spaces ground shaIl be covered with 4 inches
of coarse granular mrterial (sand, gravel, or stone)
reasonably 1evel over which a vapor barrier of
minintm 4 mil polyethaline film or better (or material
of equal perm rating) lapped 4 inches. Extend up
foundation wal1 6 inches. 2 inches of rough concrete
can be used in lieu of the vapor barrier. As an
alternative, there may be installed drain tile and a
sump prop rrith a vapor barri.er of polyethaline laid
over Ehe ground.
SECTION 2. This 0rdinance shall be in fu1l force and effect
from and afEer lts passage,approval and publication as provided
by 1aw.
