I. Purpose. The purpose of this section is to
regulate materials and establish methods of safe
construction where any structure or portion
thereof is wholly or pattially prefabricated.
2. Scope. Unless othe:*rise specifically
stated in this code, all prefabricated con-
struction and all materials used therein shalL
confor:n to all the requireoents of this code.
3. Definition. "Prefabricated Assembly'r is a
structural unit, the lntegral parts of which
have been bullt up or asseobled prior to in-
corporation in the building.
4. The Building Official may reguire special
tests to be nade to detemine their conformance
with this code. The cost of such tests shal1
be borne by the builder.
5.6)Design. Every device designed to connect
prefabricated assemblies -sha1l be capable of
deveLoplng the streogth of the members connected.
(b) In structural desigrr, due alLowance shall
be made for any uaterial to be removed for the
installation of pipes, conduit, or other equipuent.
6. Idaterials. ll,ateria1s and the assembLy thereof
sha11 be inspected to detetmine coupliance with
this code. Every m:gs3ial shal1 be grade-4arked
or other*rise labeled.
(a) Certificate. A certificate of approval
sha11 be furnished with every prefabircated
assorbly except where the asserobly is readily
accessible to tnspection at the site. This
certificate of approval sha1l certify that the
assembl-y in question has been inspected and meets
a1.1 the- requirements of this code. When mechanical
equipgent is installed so that it cannoE be in-
spected at the site, the certificate of approval
-siraLl certify that such equiprnent courplles with the
Laws applying thereto.
(b) Certifying Agency. To be acceptabl'e under
ihis code,-evEry eertificate of approvaL shall
be made by an aPProved agencY.

cations will be considered upon the submission ofsatisfactory engineering data for the approval of the
Building Official.

SECTION D.Prior to cmnencing any new building cons truction,
the owner, contractor or agent shall post a one
hundred($100) dollar surety or ca6h bond payable
to the Village CLerk providing protection for the
ViLlage in case of danage to sidewalka, curbs and
parkways.
SECTION ]J.A spot survey locating residence and/or buildinge on
lot sha1l be sub,nitted to Bullding offlcial forthsrith
after foundation (s) is (are) laid. No further work
shall be done until inspection is mpde confitming
building loeation, in compliance rrith Ordinance. In
the event building location does noL eouply with
Ordinance, the foundation shall be reooved or relocated
so as to corryly forthrrith and upon notification by
Building Official. Non-compliance on or before ten
days from date of notice shall be a violatlon of Ehls
Ordinance.
SECTION F. The Appendix shall be and is a part of this Ordinance.
SBCTION G.In the evenE no penalty is othel*rise provided, then
the violation or failure to coqly with any provision
of the Building Code shal1 be punishable by a fine
of not less than $5.00 nor more than $500'00 and each
day the violation or failure to cryly shaLl continue
shal1 constitute a seParate offense.
